"I just couldn't go past the souvenir edition for the Indigenous All Stars Rugby League match as a favourite story. For this story we went all out with an 8-page wrap around. I could have chosen a hard-hitting story but this was such a positive initiative for our community particularly because the Indigenous team came out on top. It was a really great event, which brought aboriginal and non-aboriginal communities together. The game emphasised difference and in doing so celebrated difference. There was the expectation that it was going to be a big grudge match but at the game there was no tension. It was symbolic of what can happen when the two groups come together. In this same edition, on the inner front page, we showed the other end of the spectrum -- a young fella waiting in the dust during a protest about the lack of housing in his community."
