Panpa Bulletin : November December 2006
28 | PANPA BULLETIN November--December 2006 PRESSING MATTERS December 1, 2006 marks a new beginning for Ifra with the complete over- haul and relaunch of its website. The site sports a brand new design and attractive new offers. Since the summer, we have been extensively working on the con- tents of the Ifra website. The ideas and comments from our users have contributed greatly towards the end design of the new site. Visitors to ifra.com can now choose from five different lan- guages - German, English, French, Spanish and Swedish. After select- ing the home page, current news as well as events that are relevant to the chosen language will be displayed. Now, with an improved naviga- tion system, the new website is considerably more user-friendly and displays a newly created over- view, situated horizontally at the top of the web page and separated into four main parts: • About Ifra contains general in- formation about the company and the people behind it. • Research provides current information about Ifra projects and also offers Ifra members the chance to access the research database (including Special Reports, Where NEWS? Reports) with downloadable data. • Ifra Services provides a quick overview of all the services Ifra has to offer. For example, trade fairs, events, training, Newsplex (cross-media), consulting and a variety of publications. In addition, menu items such as the 'Online Database' and 'Competitions and Awards' can be reached, as well as 'Ads and Sponsoring' for all advertising and sponsorship offers. • Members Community is the area for members and future members to obtain news and other useful information. The sub-menus that appear un- derneath the four main categories in the aforementioned situated at the head of the page, work clearly and logically, making life a lot easier when looking for a certain topic or just surfing the site. The column situated on the right side of the page displays additional information and links to sites with similar topics to enable fast acqui- sition of searched materials. Whether it be Ifra updates or industry news, you will be able to see it all on the home page. Plus, there will also be the possibility for you to make comments about hot topics and to read comments from other Ifra website users. For Ifra members, there will be a new log-in system allowing access to the entire information base provided from the website and will always be easily accessed via the Members Community page by clicking on the "Log-in" link. After entering your name and password, you will also be able to change your password, personal information e.g. email address, telephone no. etc. The informa- tion is then quickly activated and all within a secure environment. It will also be possible in the near fu- ture to subscribe and unsubscribe your personal Ifra newsletters. Last but not least, there will be a printing link on every page to enable easy print tasking. Additionally, the current frameset architecture will disappear, making it possible to bookmark individual pages and to send a page link to someone else who may be interested in the information. We would be very pleased to know what you think about the new Ifra website. If you find the time, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking forward to your visit!
