It's even the case with sunflowers. Sunflowers usually face east permanently after flowering but the specimen, pictured centre foreground, has gone against the grain, defiantly looking west. Good winter and spring rains have encouraged a large planting of sunflower, which has gone in on good subsoil moisture in the Gunnedah district.
